Although I have drawn the 2D sketches using the principles of design, I find that actually I have drawn the objects as 3D like the different fruits in the basket. This made me wonder, whether I have drawn truly 2D or 3D. Please clarify...

Dear Sir,
This is with reference to the "Ant on Pizza" - theme sketch.
Please guide regarding the shadow/shade requirements, particularly the bottle surface.
Is it advised to give shading to the backgound? Or can we skip it? I ask this because shading will take some time in the actual NATA test scenario.

I have had to give substantial time in developing the Perspective sketches. Pl. advise the time break-up that should be devoted to doodling,finalising,shading etc. Secondly. I really could do with some illustrated literature wrt shade,shadow and highlight, in order to make my sketching more effective.
